As the owner of Chinnie Boutique, chinchillas have been my lifelong passion, beginning as a childhood gift and growing into a consistent presence in our family for over 20 years.

What started as a teenage hobby crafting accessories for my beloved pets blossomed into a full-fledged business when other chinchilla owners began requesting my handmade creations. From fleece accessories to dyed loofahs and emergency cones, almost everything you see on our website is meticulously handmade by me. Quality is paramount – if it's not good enough for my pets, it's not good enough for yours.

King Grumpy, the adorable face in our logo, personally tests every product before it reaches you. Alongside our cozy accessories, we also offer a range of fun chinchilla-related merch items like stickers and pins. Most of the artwork on our merch was designed by myself or with the help of other small businesses. I love showcasing other’s art!

My commitment to Chinchillas doesn't stop at crafting accessories. I’m deeply involved in supporting chinchilla welfare. Partnering with the local exotic rescue, Cali_FID Parrot and Exotic Rescue Sanctuary in Modesto, to help chinchillas in need.

Years ago, recognizing the need for chinchilla foster care in our area, I began volunteering for Cali_FID. Today, I coordinate foster homes, and do intake, adoptions, and medical runs for the rescue's chinchillas, ensuring each one is placed in a loving environment until they find their forever home. Volunteers are the heart of small rescue organizations like Cali_FID, enabling us to help countless little hearts find homes.

Cali_FID is a registered 501(c)(3)non-profit organization and, I, Chinnie Boutique operate with full transparency.

We never receive any financial compensation for our work with the rescue – all donations and adoption fees rightfully support the rescue's operations and are deposited to the rescue.
