What is a Reclaimed Item?
A reclaimed item is made from fleece that’s been given a second life. When we find materials like liners, blankets, apparel, or dead-stock fabric at thrift stores, from individual sellers, or even through store surplus, we clean and repurpose them into unique, long-lasting products for chinchillas. We often come across wonderful prints and cozy tie blankets that make perfect chinchilla items! While we’re mindful of fabric use, fleece is a type of plastic with a lasting environmental footprint. Reclaiming materials lets us reduce waste, reuse where possible, and recycle to make a positive impact.
