What if I'm purchasing for my own rescue group? Can I still take advantage of this deal?
Yes! If you’re buying for a rescue you volunteer with, we’re happy to offer the same donation rate. We’ll need to confirm the organization, and the order will be shipped directly to their registered location—either a brick-and-mortar address, P.O. box, or other verified address. What if I want to order additional items for my own chinchilla?
No problem! You can add items for your chinchilla along with your donation item in the same order. The donation item will be held back and shipped separately to the rescue you choose, while the rest of your order ships directly to you.
How do I choose the rescue?
Just leave the name of your chosen rescue in the “Notes” section at checkout. If you don’t specify, we’ll send it with the next scheduled shipment to a rescue on our list.
Can I send my entire order to a rescue?
Yes! If you’d like all items in your order (including additional items) sent to a specific rescue, just let us know in the notes section at checkout. Otherwise, we’ll separate your order into two shipments—one to you and one to the rescue.
Will I be charged double shipping?
No, you won’t pay extra! A single shipping fee is calculated at checkout to cover your entire order. We cover the remaining cost to ship the donation item to the rescue. If your order is solely for a rescue, we’ll combine it with other donations going out, and if the shipping collected exceeds the cost, we’ll add more items to the rescue’s package.
Does the rescue have to use the items in a specific way?
Not at all! Many rescues use comfort items for their residents, but they’re also welcome to use them in fundraisers or adoption packages. Some rescues even send shelter chinchillas home with their favorite items, and this program helps them keep that up at no extra cost.
What if the rescue no longer accepts donations?
If your selected rescue isn’t currently accepting donations, we’ll send your items to the next available rescue and update our list accordingly.
Please Note: We're not affiliated with all the listed rescues—we just want to do something nice for the chinchillas! If any rescue wishes not to participate, please contact us to be removed from the list.
Other Terms: We reserve the right to cancel, refund, or refuse any order at any time for any reason, particularly if the program is abused or misused. Additionally, this FAQ may be updated as new information or changes arise to ensure clarity and fairness in the program.
Is this just a way to offload out of season items?
No. As a matter of fact, I am going to avoid shipping any specific seasonal prints ( Halloween, Christmas, 4th of July, etc. ) unless it’s well in advance of the holiday.
